Referee David Coote Suspended

Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended immediately following the emergence of a video where he makes derogatory remarks about Liverpool and former manager Jurgen Klopp.

In the footage, Coote refers to Liverpool as “s” and calls Klopp a “c” while discussing his experiences officiating.

The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) announced the suspension pending a full investigation, stating they will not comment further until the process concludes.

Coote officiated Liverpool’s recent match against Aston Villa before the video surfaced.
