NDC Urges Supporters To Guard Their Voters During The Collation Process

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has encouraged its supporters to refrain from premature celebrations until the official results of the 2024 general elections are published.
Speaking to media at a press briefing, NDC Communications Director Sammy Gyamfi highlighted the need of being calm and focused while results are compiled around the nation.
“If you are listening to this address, on behalf of our leader and father, John Dramani Mahama, and the incoming president of Ghana, make your way to your constituency collation centre. If you were at the polling station at the time of declaration I am sure by now following the ballot boxes and other electoral materials to the EC collation centre.

“If you were not at the polling station, wherever you are in your constituency, this is the time to play your role. You have voted, your votes have been counted and declared at the polling station, and now you have the responsibility to protect those votes.
“So, this new stage of constituency collation is of utmost importance to all of us and our leader would want all of us to stop the jubilation until results are duly collated, and declared at the constituency centres.
“The results form at the collation centres duly filled and signed by the various party collation agents and our agent is given his or her copy. You don’t jubilate,” he stated.
He also urged party agents and representatives at the different collation sites to remain focused, watch processes, and swiftly report any anomalies to maintain election openness.
The NDC’s announcement comes as early results from several polling places around the country begin to pour in.
“You only jubilate after the declarations of the results by the EC at the collation centre.”
