Edem Agbana urges the NPP to stop shifting blame and focus on evaluating their defeat.

Edem Agbana, the Deputy National Youth Organiser of the NDC, has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for what he perceives as their inability to take responsibility for their performance. Speaking on various platforms, Agbana urged the NPP to stop focusing on creating trackers to highlight their projects and instead reflect on their poor track record in governance. He highlighted that the government has spent years making promises, many of which remain unfulfilled, such as the uncompleted 300 Senior High Schools (SHSs) and unexecuted district projects.

Agbana emphasized that the NPP’s “performance tracker” initiative, aimed at documenting projects from 2017 onward, only serves to expose the government’s failure rather than showcase its achievements. He pointed out that the government has resorted to listing non-governmental organization (NGO)-driven projects as part of its own, which he sees as an attempt to cover up its deficiencies. Agbana further expressed frustration with the NPP’s tendency to shift blame rather than confronting its failings  .

By urging the NPP to stop launching trackers and to instead assess their performance, Agbana reflects a broader sentiment that the government needs to take responsibility for its actions. He argued that Ghanaians are tired of empty promises and are seeking a government that can genuinely address the issues affecting the country.
