“We Have Reduced NPP to a Small Minority in Parliament – Ato Forson”

Ato Forson, the Minority Leader in Parliament, has declared that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has effectively reduced the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to a “micro minority” in the legislature. His remarks follow the recent by-election in the Ejisu constituency, where the NDC gained significant support, further closing the gap between the two major parties in Parliament. Forson described this development as a sign of the NDC’s growing influence and momentum ahead of the upcoming general elections.

According to him, the NDC’s ability to secure critical victories in by-elections demonstrates the public’s dissatisfaction with the ruling NPP government. Forson emphasized that the parliamentary majority, once comfortably held by the NPP, has now become precarious, signaling a shift in the political landscape. He noted that this outcome reflects the electorate’s confidence in the NDC’s vision and policies.

Forson urged NDC members and supporters to remain focused and united, reiterating that the party is well-positioned to win future elections. He added that the NDC’s strategy of holding the government accountable is yielding results, as evidenced by the shifting dynamics in Parliament.

The Minority Leader concluded by expressing optimism that the NDC would continue to strengthen its position, further consolidating its influence in Parliament. He called on Ghanaians to rally behind the NDC to bring about the change they desire, asserting that the party is ready to lead the nation toward progress and prosperity.
