Looming Energy Crisis: Stop the blame game and find solutions to the problem – Afenyo-Markin tells NDC

The Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has urged the NDC to shift its focus from blame-shifting to providing solutions to the looming energy crisis.
Speaking at the appointment committee, Mr. Afenyo-Markin said despite numerous challenges that the Akufo-Addo administration faced, they managed to put the lights on for the last 8 years.
“It is deeply concerning to hear that the new administration attempting to shift blame for a so called looming power crises onto the previous government. let the record clearly reflect that the outgoing government despite certain challenges managed to maintian a stable and reliable power supply”, he stated.
Having served as the Board Chairman for ECG, Mr. Afenyo-Markin says that if the energy minister-designate John Abdulai Jinapor is approved by the committee, he should present a comprehensive plan that will ensure an uninterrupted power supply.
He emphasized that Ghanaians had entrused the NDC with the future of the country, considering challenges they faced for the past eight years and therefore the government should take the lead and avoid lamenting or shifting blames
“Ghanaians expect clear solutions and forward-looking strategies, not rhetoric and blame shifts.”, he said.
