GNFS Official Bemoans Sexually-Suggestive Prank Calls

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has disclosed an alarming pattern of prank calls, revealing instances where men call the emergency number of service with sexually-suggestive conversations including masturbating with the voices of female call center staff.

Alex King Nartey, who is a member of the GNFS communication team, disclosed on Accra-based Angel TV on the Morning Show of Friday, January 31st, 2025, hosted by Saddick Adams saying, “Some of the prank calls we receive are from men who want to masturbate with the voice of our call center ladies.”

The show discussed the rampant fire outbreaks in the country in recent times.

Mr. Nartey’s remark highlights the necessity for greater public understanding regarding the effects of such prank calls and the significance of keeping emergency lines available for real emergencies.

He advised the public to desist from such hoaxes as they could contribute to the failure of the service to respond on time in cases of real emergencies.
