Tennessee Community Grieves for Teen Sophie Gough’s death
Sophie Gough, a senior at Providence Christian Academy in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away too soon, according to her family. She was seventeen years old.
Although Gough’s family has not made her cause of death public, reports suggest that it was an accident in Rutherford County.
According to Michelle Thomas, the mother of one of Sophie Gough’s closest friends, who gave a beautiful remembrance of the deceased, Sophie Gough cheered for PCA until the ninth grade.

Michelle wrote on Instagram about how devastated she was to learn of Gough’s death and to offer her deepest sympathies to her sister Ellie, parents Chad and Cindy, and other bereaved family members. She asked for prayers for the family’s strength.
The family launched a GoFundMe campaign to support them during this difficult time.
As of right now, the campaign has raised about $12,540 of its $25,000 target.
Everyone who has been missing Sophie has left memorial tributes on her social media platforms.
