Bolga Accident: Police Summon Tipper Truck Driver for questioning

The Bolgatanga Municipal Police Service has summoned the tipper truck driver who was involved in an accident with a Toyota Corolla at the Upper East Regional Hospital junction to answer questions regarding the accident.

Following the neglect of the tipper truck driver who went his way without any effort to fix the damaged Corrola, the incident was promptly reported to both the Bolgatanga Municipal Police Station and the State Insurance Company (SIC).

In a discussion with the woman, Theresa Akayibire, at the mechanic’s shop on Saturday, February 8, 2025, she revealed that the tipper truck driver had been summoned by the Bolgatanga Municipal Police Service to appear at the station that afternoon for questioning.

An officer from the police station conducted a site visit to inspect the scene of the accident and the damaged vehicle as part of the investigation to determine the facts of the incident. Meanwhile, the State Insurance Company has also dispatched a specialist to assess the vehicle and prepare a detailed cost analysis report to facilitate the repair of the car.

Theresa expressed gratitude to the State Insurance Company for coming to her aid.

However, despite efforts to confirm whether the tipper truck driver had reported to the police station as requested, no further information was available. Nevertheless, we have confidence in the Ghana Police Service to handle the matter fairly and in a timely manner.
