Bollywood Icon Shah Rukh Khan Targeted with ₹50 Lakh Ransom Threat
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has received a death threat, adding to recent threats against fellow actor Salman Khan.
The Bandra Police in Mumbai registered a case after receiving a threatening call on a police landline, warning of plans to kill Shah Rukh Khan and demanding ₹50 lakh. The investigation, conducted in collaboration with the Cyber Police Station, aims to trace the caller.
Authorities have registered the case under Sections 308 (4) and 351 (3)(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and traced the call to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Teams have been dispatched to continue the investigation.
This incident is similar to recent threats against Salman Khan. On November 5, the Mumbai Police received a threat message against Salman Khan, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The message demanded either an apology or ₹5 crore for his safety. This was the second death threat Salman Khan received in a week, following an earlier ransom demand of ₹2 crore.
The increased security measures and ongoing investigations highlight the seriousness of these threats and the efforts being made to protect both actors.
