Emily Newton, Flemington Woman Severely Injured in Freak Garden State Parkway Accident

Emily Newton, a woman from Flemington, is currently facing severe injuries caused by a bizarre car crash on the Garden State Parkway on Thursday afternoon.

Newton, aged 21, was driving in the southern direction on Lakehurst Road in South Toms River, when a spare wheel from a different vehicle traveling northbound became detached, crossed over the concrete barrier into the southbound lanes, and hit the windshield and roof of her Volkswagen Sedan.

The accident resulted in Emily Newton sustaining numerous severe injuries and being in a state of shock. Several cars promptly pulled over to assist her following the remarkable scene of the accident.

A witness informed New Jersey 101.5 radio station that they, along with other vehicles, pulled over to assist the injured Newton before emergency services arrived.

He mentioned that Newton inadvertently pressed on her accelerator in a state of shock, causing her Volkswagen to collide with a pickup truck that was parked in front of her for assistance.
