Fuel Crises: Our businesses are collapsing—Bimbilla business owners

Business owners in Ghana’s Northern Region, particularly in Bimbilla today, have raised concerns over the impact of the weeklong fuel shortage on their operations, citing significant disruptions to their businesses in the area.
Interviews with residents have revealed that this crisis has particularly affected drivers and traders who depend on fuel to run their businesses. Some drivers have not been able to work for about a week due to the unavailability of fuel. This has affected individual transportation and the transportation of goods and other perishable foods.
The few gas stations that still have fuel in Bimbilla have many individuals waiting in line to purchase fuel. This in turn has affected efficiency since people need to wait for hours to purchase fuel.
They call on the government to intervene to enable their businesses to recover.
Meanwhile, the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has announced comprehensive plans to help address this issue in the northern part of the country. Residents in the affected area are advised to keep calm, as efforts are underway to resolve the problem and restore normal fuel supply.
