If Conflicts Could Solve Our Problems We Would Have Been Satisfied – Vicar General.

The Vicar General of Navrongo Bolgatanga Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Lawrence Azure has extended a passionate call on the Chiefs and People of Bawku in the Upper East Region of Ghana to allow peace a chance in their midst.
In a speech delivered on behalf of the Bishop of Navrongo Bolgatanga Diocese Most Rev. Bishop Alfred Agyenta, during a peace concert organized by Navrongo Bolgatanga Diocesan Choir Association (NABODICA) on Friday, 8th November 2024, the Vicar General insisted that conflict has never been a solution to any problem neither has it ever been able to satisfy our desires.
He asked the people of Bawku to call to mind all the negative impact that the conflict has had on them and the region at large.
He said “The people of Bawku have endured several years of pain, tears, and loss of innocent lives which have turned several young women into widows, young men into widowers, and children into orphans, and yet none of the parties involved have been able to satisfy their desires”
This means that fighting and killing ourselves is not a solution to our problems.
He called on the government, Chiefs, Elders, peace council, and all other stakeholders to step up efforts to resolve the conflict.
