Jake Paul Claimed Victory Over Mike Tyson By Unanimous Decision in Their Boxing Match

Social media sensation Jake Paul triumphed over boxing legend Mike Tyson by unanimous decision on Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in a highly unexpected matchup in boxing history.
All three judges scored the fight in favor of Paul, with the tallies reading 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73.
This victory raises Paul’s professional record to 11-1, while Tyson’s record falls to 50-7.
Post-fight, Paul remarked, “He’s exactly what I thought, one of the greatest to ever do it.”
When asked if he was finished with boxing, Tyson expressed uncertainty, stating, “I don’t think so. Maybe the brother (Logan Paul).”
At 27, Paul, who boasts over 27 million followers on Instagram and nearly 21 million on YouTube, dominated the fight.
After an aggressive first round from Tyson, his age became a factor. Tyson appeared sluggish throughout most of the match and struggled to land significant punches, with his offensive output declining notably in the mid-rounds. The younger Paul consistently landed jabs and hooks while sustaining minimal damage.
After the fight, Paul was asked who he would like to face next. He confidently replied, “Anyone I want. Everyone is next on the list.”
Paul began his professional career in 2020 and has notable victories over former UFC fighters such as Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, and Mike Perry. His sole loss came last year in a split decision against Tommy Fury, the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
At 58, Tyson is celebrated as one of the greatest and most fearsome boxers of all time. He started his professional career with 19 consecutive finishes, 12 of which were in the first round, and became the youngest heavyweight champion at 20 after knocking out Trevor Berbick. Tyson ruled the heavyweight division from 1987 to 1990, securing the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles with a flawless start of 37-0.
His first loss came in 1990 when he was knocked out in the 10th round by Buster Douglas, which is widely regarded as one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
Since that defeat, Tyson has fought 20 more times, achieving a record of 13-5 with two “no contests.” He last competed in 2005 against Kevin McBride and was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame in 2011.
In the co-main event, Katie Taylor secured a unanimous decision victory over Amanda Serrano, with all three judges scoring it 95-94. This rematch, following their thrilling first encounter, turned out to be another classic, featuring 324 landed punches.
While the card showcased impressive bouts, fans expressed frustration online due to persistent buffering issues during the stream.
