John Mahama urges stakeholders to maintain peace during the upcoming polls.

The National Democratic Congress Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, has appealed to Ghanaians for peace and calm in the the upcoming elections, scheduled for December 7, 2024. In a post titled “Let Us Uphold the Image of Our Country,” Mahama called on citizens to make sure that Ghana retains its enviable status as a country that has always been reputed for its peaceful religious coexistence and stability, having been the envy of many nations in the region because of its peaceful nature.
The former President reiterated that peace is fragile and once lost, it could leave indelible scars. He urged all stakeholders to ensure that the elections do not result in violence or disruption, particularly at the polling stations where the democratic right of citizens is exercised. Mahama urges this at a time when the election is close and to ensure no possible conflicts occur at the voting process.
Mahama desires peace, for he promised that the NDC would leave no stone unturned in ensuring the country remained peaceful. This becomes important in a country where during election periods, political tensions could sometimes rise to uncontrollable levels.
