Medikal Apologizes to Kofi Kinaata Over Missed Performance at ‘Made in Taadi’

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has spoken out on a recent argument with fellow artist Kofi Kinaata that resulted from his inability to attend Kinaata’s “Made in Taadi” headline show.
Medikal made the disclosure at his December 26 “Beyond Kontrol” performance, where he offered his version of events and sincerely apologized to Kofi Kinaata in public. Medikal clarified that a scheduling issue and a memory loss brought on by his hectic schedule were the reasons for his absence.

Medikal confessed on stage, “I forgot to play some show for my bro Kofi Kinaata because then something was happening, and man forgot a bit.” Since I was unable to leave, I noticed that he had unfollowed me. However, I watched the incident as though Kofi Kinaata was harmed because he is someone I love.
Medikal disclosed that Kinaata’s choice to unfollow him on social media following the event he missed demonstrated his disappointment. Understanding the consequences of his behavior, Medikal used his performance as a platform to apologize and reassure supporters that their friendship will endure.

The “La Hustle” hitmaker pledged to make amends by going to the next “Made in Taadi” event and helping it succeed as a gesture of healing.
“I’m sorry, Kofi Kinaata,” he said. “We’re going to do it better next year, Made in Taadi. I won’t unfollow you, therefore you should follow me back.
Kofi Kinaata, who is renowned for his sense of humor and composure, had a humorous response. Kinaata explained on his X (formerly Twitter) account that the missing performance had nothing to do with his choice to unfollow Medikal. Rather, he joked that he would unfollow Medikal only if the rapper said he could defeat him in a game of FIFA.
With a lighthearted spin, Kinaata added, “The only thing that will make me unfollow Medikal is when he talks somewhere that he will score me in FIFA.”
Despite the miscommunication, the two artists’ amusing exchange highlights how strong their connection is. Fans might anticipate Medikal’s much awaited debut at the next “Made in Taadi” performance or a possible collaboration.
