Revoked appointees still have the opportunity to reapply—Ofosu Kwakye

The Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has maintained that individuals who have had their appointments revoked by the government will have the opportunity to reapply when the government commences recruitment.

In a press briefing in Accra on Wednesday, February 19, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu clarified that the revocation of appointments was due to numerous irregularities associated with them. He emphasized that the government harbors no personal grievances against anyone in the country, and the revocation was not motivated by political considerations.

“The government of Ghana, the one led by President Mahama, has no difficulty with any specific individual. It doesn’t matter whether you are an NDC or NPP.”

The minister stressed that when the time is due for recruitment, it will be done regularly, such that anyone who qualifies would have the opportunity to apply regardless of the person’s political affiliation.

“In due course, the government will do recruitment, and it will be open to all Ghanaians irrespective of political affiliation. Indeed, your party identity will not be required. You will not be asked to show whether you are an NPP or NDC when that comes.”
