ACF Fiorentina has confirmed that midfielder Edoardo Bove is currently in intensive care after collapsing on the pitch during a Serie A match against Inter Milan on December 1. The incident occurred in the 16th minute, prompting immediate medical attention as Bove lost consciousness.

He was swiftly transported to Careggi University Hospital, where he is under pharmacological sedation.
Fiorentina’s statement indicated that initial tests ruled out severe damage to his central nervous and cardio-respiratory systems, and his condition has since stabilized. The match was suspended following the incident, leaving players and fans in shock. Bove, who joined Fiorentina on loan from AS Roma, is regarded as a promising talent and has made significant contributions to the team.
