Victoria Bailey, Rowlett Police Department Officer Tragically Commits Suicide

The Rowlett Police Department in Texas announced the tragic death of Victoria Louise Bailey, who has served as an officer with the department for nine years.

The statement disclosed that Bailey died by taking their own life. What caused her to decide to take her own life was not immediately evident.

The Rowlett Police Department expressed their sadness over the tragic death of a fellow member in their official statement. Yesterday evening, Officer Victoria Louise Bailey sadly ended her own life.

Victoria was a former member of the Air Force before spending nine years with the Denison Police Department and ultimately joining Rowlett in 2022. She was a highly respected Field Training Officer, guiding many officers and creating cohesive teams.

Community members recalled Officer Bailey’s diligent work ethic and professionalism in all their interactions with her.

While employed at the Denison Police Department, she personally paid for a motel room for my granddaughter for one night. Only to remove her from a harmful relationship with her boyfriend. I have additional anecdotes about how amazing of a person she was. One community member mentioned in a social media post that this has caused a great deal of sadness in their family.
